Seattle

As you might have seen from our Instagram, I spent the last 5 days in Seattle.  Here is a round up of pictures from our trip.

Pike Place Market is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Seattle.  Our hotel was only 7 blocks from the market so we stopped by each day for breakfast, snacks (huge cookies), fresh fruit, coffee and to just walk through.

The peaches and cherries from this stand were amazing.  We got some each day to eat and even brought some home with us.

The flowers at the market were beautiful!  I haven't seen bouquets like that before.  It is amazing how they put together the arrangements, and they are only about $20 each.  I wanted so badly to bring some home, but wasn't sure how they would survive the plane ride.

Of course, while down at the Market, we had to stop by the first original Starbucks!!  In Seattle, there is a Starbucks on every street.  No shortage of coffee on our trip!

Pink Jeans: Old Navy (sold out), similar here and here // Sandals: Rebecca Minkoff, save version here //  Sun Hat: Columbia, similar here // Tote: Barrington (love!)

Most of the days we walked so much that I wore my favorite Converse, but the first day I made the mistake of wearing these sandals.  My feet/legs were sore that night!  I love my Barrington Tote.  It is amazing how much can fit in it.  It held all the necessities for touring a city... snacks, camera, jean jacket and all the kids stuff!

How fun is this pink reflecting wall we found near the Space Needle!?

One afternoon we went across to West Seattle to Alki Beach.  It was neat seeing the city from a different angle.

To get back to the city, we took the water ferry.

Instead of going to the top of the iconic Space Needle, we were told to go to the top of the Columbia Center for a higher view.  The 360 view was amazing.  We could even see the snow covered peak of Mt. Ranier.

I highly recommend taking a Duck Tour if you can.  They are so much fun and you really learn a lot of interesting facts about the city.  We had also done a Duck Tour a couple years ago while visiting Boston.

These are some of the highlights from our Seattle trip.  Have you ever been to Seattle?  What was your favorite attraction?
