How to wear a midi skirt

The Midi Skirt is a piece that brings grace and elegance to an outfit.  When wearing a midi skirt there are some things to consider to get the look just right.
1 - Length: The most flattering length is right below the knee or right below the calf.  If you choose a longer length, you want the hem to hit the point where your calf is slimming down toward your ankle.  Not at the widest part of your calf.
2 - Shoes: Your shoe choice is very important!  You want to make your legs to look as long as possible.  Therefore, a shoe that shows the top part of your foot is important in lengthening your leg line.  Heels are a must! Strappy sandals, wedges, and classic pumps in a nude color create a long leg line.
3 - Waist: The waist of your midi skirt should sit at your natural waist.  Having the extra volume from the full midi skirt needs to be balanced with a form fitting top.  If you tuck your top into your skirt, it creates an extra long leg line.
4 - Accessories: Let your midi skirt be the focal point of your outfit.  Small accessories keep with the feminine and elegant style.  A clutch or small handbag is the best option.

How fun is this midi skirt from Mindy Mae's Market?  It immediately caught my eye when I saw it on their website.  The slight hi-low cut and bright color combination lead to a standout piece that would be perfect for a summer event.
