New Favorite Makeup Items

A few months back we did a post with our favorite beauty products that work together to give a great foundation for your makeup.  That post can be seen here.  We actually still use those products on a daily basis but have also found some other new products that are amazing.

1.  Pixi Natural Brow Duo - Deep Brunette - My brows are very light in color.  I've seen makeup artists on youtube using brow pencils to help define their brows.  I decided I needed to try it.  So on one of my many Target runs, I picked up this brow duo.  I love how one side is an angled pencil to fill in my brows and the other side is a gel to keep my brows neat.  I've noticed a huge difference in using the brow duo in helping my total makeup look complete.

2.  Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes - I love this product!!  My eyelashes, like my brows, are very light.  So I was always looking for the best mascara to really help lengthen and thicken my lashes. I have never liked false lashes, so that wasn't a good option for me.  A dear friend introduced me to this product, and I have been wearing it everyday since.  The longer tube is the mascara, you use first.  The shorter tube is the fibers, you use second.  They stick to the mascara.  You then use the mascara again to set the fibers in place. The results are amazing!  To order, click here.  You need to try it!

3.  Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - I've been wanting to try contouring for quite some time now, so I finally broke down and purchased this fan favorite kit.   I don't do a lot of contouring yet, I'm still learning how to do it and how much to do it.  But I love it and am so glad I bought it.

4.  Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder - I apply this with my wet beauty blender under my eyes, after my makeup is done.  It really helps to lighten that area, with just a touch of shimmer.  I use it everyday!

5.  Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighter - I use Ivory - This is another highlighter I use under my eyes.  I apply this with my wet beauty blender after my foundation.  I love how it instantly lightens my under eye area and helps brighten my face!  I use this everyday too.

6.  Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Powder - Another highlighting powder. :)  I use this powder to highlight my upper check bones and down the center of my nose.  Its a great highlighting powder for a great price.

7.  Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist - I've noticed a huge difference in the staying power of my makeup after using this.  Using the mist before applying your makeup helps extend the wear of your makeup.  And using it after applying your makeup helps to set your makeup.  It is so refreshing and cooling!  A must.

8.  NYX Eyeshadow - This is the newest of the products I've added to my makeup collection.  I was looking for a nude eyeshadow palette and picked this up at Target a couple weeks ago.  I love the pink shades and the middle gold shade.  They produce a really pretty combo.

9.  Pixi Nail Polish -Summer Pink - My favorite nail color of the summer.  I have had it on my toes and/or fingers continuously.  It is the perfect shade of bright pink and looks fabulous against a tan!

  5. I'm considering biting the bullet on that Anastasia kit too - everyone seems to adore it! I'm a little worried the colors might be too dark on me though so we'll see!

    1. I know! I wish I at least had darker lashes. Mine are so light. I think the mascara is worth it. Try it, you can always return it if you aren't satisfied. And they now offer a new Fiber Mascara +. I want to try it when I need to reorder.
