in Harbor Springs wearing Bordeaux

This past week the family and I took a vacation to Northern Michigan.  Our plans involved visiting five cities along the way.  Packing was no easy task.  Days were filled with warm sunshine while nights got chilly.  Jeans, a jacket, long sleeves tops were accompanied with shorts, tanks, athletic wear and swimsuits.  (I basically felt like I packed my whole closet! Have to be prepared!!)

After spending a couple days with some friends at their house on Mullett Lake and partaking in water sports and boating, we ventured up to Mackinaw Island for a night and then over to Harbor Springs.

Have you been to Harbor Springs, MI?  It's a waterfront community on the North shore of the Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan.  It's so quaint and picturesque.  The downtown is full of boutiques for shopping, art galleries and coffee shops.  We saw kids taking 'Sailing School', watched a glass blowing demonstration (amazing!), had dinner on the waterfront, and listened to the local band play a waterfront concert.  It was like out of a storybook.

I knew this soft and flowing blouse would be perfect for our evening in Harbor Springs.  This bordeaux blouse from Altar'd State immediately caught my eye.  The color is so rich and vibrant while the ruffles add a romantic vibe.  I kept this look light by pairing this rich color with my favorite white skinny jeans.  Speaking of this gorgeous bordeaux color, did you see Betsy's post here on two of our favorite colors for Fall?

Quaint downtown Harbor Springs.
