Silk Vest + Link-Up

Our parents kept many of our toys from when we were little.  (They could be considered vintage and worth something now. hehe)  But they were made so well and lasted over the years.  My two older kids (now 10 and 9) loved going over and playing with all the toys at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Our youngest (3) came across one of these toys last week.  It's a wood dog that "walks" as you pull it along.  Not only does it "walk" but it makes a lovely clacking sound.  That dog has come everywhere with us lately.  It made a trip to the mall, the grocery store and to preschool many times.  It's been a big hit everywhere!  The smiles and looks from others as we walk by is hilarious.  You can definately hear us coming!  So many people have commented that they remember that toy from when their kids were little.  It's a classic.

Now how about this vest?  It's a silky take on the popular utility vest.  I'm loving the long length and the gorgeous belted tie.  It's one of those pieces that will be a classic in your closet. I'm thinking of all the ways this could be styled!

Vest: Anthropologie // Shirt: J. Crew Factory // Jeans: Nordstrom, also love these and these // Booties: Dolce Vita // Tote: Nordstrom // Bracelets: Cadyn & Charlie // Necklace: Benevolent Jewels

This week's feature is Brianne of Being Bracco.  Her laid back style with this easy dress, a "must-have" utility vest, and booties is the perfect early Fall outfit!  Be sure to check her out!  She's adorable and so much fun!  (She makes me want bangs! - So cute.)

Now on to today's Tuesday Fashion Party Link-Up!

  5. This vest is so pretty, I love the soft fabric which makes it so different from a utility vest. My son had a little toy dog like that when he was about 3 and he played with it every day. So glad your kids are enjoying toys that you've enjoyed as a kid!
