Festive plaid + Things on our Mind

Festive holiday plaids can be the most versatile piece in your closet.

Layered under sweaters or vests, dressed up with a sequin skirt, paired with heels to running errands in boots.  There are endless ways to style a plaid shirt.

We thought we'd share some happenings/thoughts in our life right now.
Katey:
1. We are having some repairs/work done in our master bathroom which has caused it to be un-usable.  It's really throwing off my morning routine.  I'm such a creature of habit and routine in the mornings as I'm getting ready for work.
2. About a week ago, I got 4-5 inches cut off my hair.  It's funny to look at these pictures but I'm loving my shorter hair.  It has so much more volume and the curl lasts longer.  I'm getting it colored on Monday.  Thank goodness.
3. My husband introduced the game 'SimCity' to the kids.  You basically build your own city. They have it on the iPads and iPhone.  They are addicted.  All three of them will sit down together and play.

Betsy:
1. I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I'm planning on putting up our Christmas tree this weekend.  I think this will be the first time ever it's up before Thanksgiving!!
2.  As I'm writing this, I'm eating my favorite oatmeal combo.  I add this to my egg white oatmeal and add a ton of blueberries.  So yummy!!!
3. I just recently started using my dry-shampoo in a new way.  I blow dry my hair, then spray the dry shampoo through my hair (not on my roots).  It gives it a little grit and makes curling my hair easier and helps to hold the curl more through the day.  (I still use hairspray as well.)

Katey, Looking forward to seeing your hair cut. I am thinking of cutting mine, too. And Betsy, I might try that shampoo you suggested.
