Sporty Chic

Workout or athletic clothes aren't just for working out anymore!

Many times, I wear mine out and about.  The key is balance.  Having at least one fitted piece helps to not look messy (AKA frumpy).  Adding some sparkle or shine doesn't hurt either.

This trend has really taken off and you can find "athleisure" pieces all over.  I adore finding pieces like these at Athleta!  From adding a pullover or graphic tee to a pair of distressed skinny jeans and fun sneakers to an all over "athleisure" outfit like I have on here, there are so many fun comfortable options.

As I mentioned above, adding some fun sneakers is always a way to add pizzaz to your outfit.  These white Converse Shoreline sneakers are a favorite of mine, but how fun are these or these!!?

What are your thoughts on this "athleisure" trend?  How do you style this look?  I'd love to hear your comments below.

Sea Island Trip

Theres something so relaxing about blue skies and palm trees.  My family spent a long weekend at The Cloister Beach Club in Sea Island, GA.  We had the best, most relaxing time.  The grounds are beautiful from the flowers and the moss covered live oaks to the beach and the amazing pool!

I love the Mediterranean look.

I think I could spend all day sitting in one of those chairs.  And with pool side waiters, you don't even need to move for food or margaritas drinks!!

Neon Tank

This is another outfit I wore over the weekend in Sea Island, GA.  I wore this to shop at the Pier Village, a great strip of shops, boutiques and restaurants.  I love the bright neon colors of this tank paired against the white jeans.

These white jeans have been on repeat all spring.  They are the Angry Rabbit cropped.  I had never heard of this brand until I purchased them from a boutique in Columbus, OH while visiting Katey a few weeks ago.  They are so comfortable.  The material is thin, but not see-thru, and they have some stretch.    And they are made in the USA.

This tank is another find from TJMaxx.  I just got it last week, so check your local stores for it.  I love the bright neon pattern, the silky material and the back detail.  I think I will get a lot of wear out of it this summer.  Maybe I'll pair it with the neon shorts from yesterdays post for a bright, casual look!?

Do you have any luck finding great pieces at TJMaxx?  I'd love to hear about it in the comments.

Check back tomorrow to see pictures from my trip to Sea Island, GA.

Neon & Navy

We spent this past weekend at Sea Island, GA.  It was absolutely beautiful.  I'm doing a post later this week showing you this gorgeous resort.  I changed into this outfit for lunch on the patio the afternoon we got there.  I am really into neon this spring.  I love how bright it is and how it pairs so well with other colors.

These neon shorts are the same style shorts I wore in this post.  They are the most comfortable shorts!  Everyone needs at least 1 pair.  They don't stretch through the day or wrinkle when you sit.  And the best part is the elastic waist. :)  Style and comfort!

I found this adorable tank at TJMaxx.  It's not a store I usually shop at because I don't like sifting through racks of clothes.  But a friend and I stopped in there last week and I was surprised by the cute clothes I saw.  I actually got this tank and another.  I love the double hem, the crochet shoulders and the back.  Great details.  Check your local TJMaxx, I just purchased the tank last week.
