Being active has always been a big part of my life. Today's post is a little different than what we typically do. I'm sharing an outfit that I love and a typical quick workout that I do!!
I'd easily wear this to the gym, to the grocery, biking to the park with the kids, etc. I prefer my workout tanks to be a little loose and long like this one.
Here is an example of my favorite type of workout. I love to workout hard for 30-40 minutes and typically prefer to get my workouts done early morning around 5:30 AM before the kiddos are up and running. It's a great start to my day and gets me energized.
I have to admit, with full summer days and late evenings, I've only been working out 3-4 times per week but look forward to getting back on schedule as our school and work schedule get back to routine.
Treadmill or elliptical machine for 10-15 minutes. Push yourself - vary the speed and incline.
HIIT exercises - in the workout below I did sets of 10. Many times I'll change it up and do each HIIT exercise for 40-50 seconds with 10 seconds rest in between.
I also LOVE to add high knees or jump roping between each exercise. It's an added boost that helps keep my heart rate up.
In/out jump squats
Dive bombers (arm killer!)
Curtsy lunge, alternating sides
Burpee with jack legs
*Repeat for 3-4 sets.
