The Chateaux Deer Valley

For the past few years we have been taking a winter getaway to go skiing.  We've always stayed fairly close to home.  This year we decided it was time to take the kiddos out West for a full ski adventure.  Some of the best skiing is out West.  A standout hotel to us in our search, was The Chateaux Deer Valley.  Our stay at The Chateaux Deer Valley was nothing short of perfect.

If I had one way to sum up this hotel, it would be all the special details.
As soon as we arrived we knew we were in for a treat.  The underground parking is ideal for snowy winters and the underground entrance is just as pretty as the front entrance.

The hotel lobby has 2 fireplaces that constantly have a fire burning.  It creates quite the cozy atmosphere.  It was fun to see people in the lobby, sipping coffee in the morning, families playing games in the afternoon and couples hanging by the bar in the evening.

The open lobby is quite the sight.  The chess table was on our floor and became the battle between my husband and son daily as their "before dinner entertainment".

The bar has the most amazing windows.  What a showcase feature to the falling snow outside.  The wood beam ceiling was my favorite part.  We had dinner here one night.  The caesar salad was amazing! (Even our son loved it and he's not a salad fan.)

Just off the main lobby is their on-site retail shop, where we rented skis and boots for our stay.  The staff was so helpful and shared daily ski conditions with us.
We enrolled our 4 year old in the Deer Valley ski school for the first afternoon and she had a 3 hour lesson with an instructor.  She loved it!  Even after 3 hours, she wasn't ready to stop!

After taking ski vacations in years past, we have learned that a large room/suite is the way to go.  There is soooo much ski equipment that it quickly fills up the room.  At our stay at The Chateaux, we had a 2 bedroom suite.  It was amazing.  One room with a king bed, one room with 2 queen beds, and a living area with a kitchen, and living room.  There were 3 fireplaces and 3 bathrooms!  Hard to find that anywhere else!!  The attention to detail in these rooms was spot on.  From big wood beams across the ceiling, gorgeous wood doors and door frames, and large spacious bathrooms, it didn't feel like a hotel at all.

Every night while we were out at dinner, they stopped by and did a room turn-down.  Closing the shades, placing bottles of water around the rooms and little chocolates (the kids loved this). It was such a nice touch, and always appreciated, after a long day.

The mountain view from our balcony.

The huge Christmas tree in the lobby.

Aren't the grounds beautiful?!

Christmas decorations everywhere!!!

Amazing ski conditions.

If skiing all day isn't for you, The Chateaux has 2 outdoor hot tubs and a heated pool.  It was the perfect end to a long ski day.  Or a visit to the spa may be what you are wanting.  Customized facials, massages, and nail services will help you feel rejuvinated.

Just a short 5 minute drive is Historic downtown Main Street, where shopping and dining will fill your afternoon.  These kind of shops are my favorite!  You can find so many unique items.

Thanks to The Chateaux for an amazing winter getaway.
