Top 5 Beauty Primers

Besides a great skin care routine, using face primers is the best way to get your makeup to go on smoothly and last all day.

These 5 beauty primers are the key to my daily makeup routine.  If you don't currently use face primers, you should give these a try.

This primer comes in 6 different potions.  I use the Eden because it's a nude matte shade, sort of the coloring of a highlighter.  I've also used the original and the anti-aging potions.

Dab a little of this on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow and it helps the eyeshadow to go on with no creasing and helps it to last all day.

This is the newest addition to my primers.  I love how it has all the color correcting you'll need in 1 pretty palette.  The two I use most are the green for reddness and the peach and orange for the dark circles under my eyes (I need more sleep!).  The pink brightens.  The yellow neutralizes hyperpigmentation.

The palette has 5 color correcting creams and 2 finishing powders.   Go here to watch a video on how to use the different colors.

I've been using this for a couple months now and am hooked.  I was using this primer but it is a little pricy.  And every time I went to buy it I would cringe at the price.  Sometimes if you love something enough you'll pay for it.  But I was always on the look out for a replacement, something less pricy.

I came across the No7 primers and heard great things about them.  There are 3 primers...original, pore minimizing and radiance boosting.  I have tried the pore minimizing and it works, but I don't love the scent of it.  I use the original daily (it smells good) and it's an amazing replacement/dupe for the pricier primer.

I actually got this eye concentrate in a past Fab Fit Fun box.  I had never heard of the brand before, but tried it anyway.  To my surprise it has become one of my favorite morning products.  The serum is lightweight but super hydrating and smoothing.  One little pump goes all around both eyes, so it has lasted me a long time.  It helps with tired, puffy eyes (yes!!) and helps my foundation and under eye concealer to go on smoothly without creasing.

Some reviews said it irritated their skin and caused a rash, but I have had no problems with it and will definitely be repurchasing it when I run out.

I've been using the Rodan & Fields lash boost for the past 6 months and have noticed a huge improvement in my lashes, with length and thickness.  That paired with this volumizing primer makes for dramatic lashes.  The primer adds length and volume to your lashes before you use your mascara.  It also helps to separate your lashes so you don't get clumps from your mascara.  It's white so you can see it going on.  Then your dark mascara covers it up.

Let me know if you've tried any of these before or what your go-to primers are!!

The Nordstrom Beauty Sale is currently going on.  It's a great time to try new products or stock up on favorites.  Some of my 5 primers are part of the sale.  I've rounded up some other products I use and love below.

Also, even though these primers and products are amazing and work wonders at helping makeup go on smoothly and stay on all day, great skin care is really the beginning.  My favorite skin care line, Colleen Rothschild, is having their stock up event, $50 off your purchase of $150 with code SAVE50.  You need to take care of your skin first.  No matter what products you use, they can only do so much.  It really comes down to the condition of you skin.
