Winter Pastels

I love wearing pastels in Winter.  They look so pretty against the white snow and the dull background of the Winter season.

In the Fall and early Winter, I'm all about darker colors, like burgundy, olive green, mustard yellow and brown.  But as soon as the Holidays are over and we are deep into Winter, I love to transition to brighter colors and pastels, like hot pink, baby blue, white and lavender.  Because there are no leaves and flowers around, these colors help brighten up a cold, dull Winter.  You probably only think of pastels in Spring, but I think you should wear them in Winter too!

You may have seen this sweater around on Instagram.  It's just such a good one!!  It's super cozy and under $50.  I love this lavender color and it also comes in a pretty mint green.  I'm wearing a size small, but think an XS would fit good too.  I love my sweaters oversized so I don't mind the looser fit.

We always say how much we love our everyday jeans, but sometimes it's nice to find a great pair of pants to change it up a bit.  So I was happy to find these tie waist pants.  They are still a skinny fit which I love but are incredibly comfy with a little stretch.  You can see in a couple pics below, they have a cute cut out at the ankles and a fun tie waist.  I am wearing a petite for the perfect ankle length.  Oh, and they are on sale right now, under $40!!

Ok, now moving on to my faux fur Winter boots!!  Honestly, here in NC I don't really need Winter boots.  But lately we've had some freezing temps and I've loved wearing these.  The fur doesn't go all the way into the boot, but they are still really warm.  The style of these boots keep them from being clunky and the little bit of fur dresses them up a bit.  So as long as the cold weather is around, I'll be wearing these!!

Stay warm.  We are supposed to get warmer temps by the end of the week!!
