Trending – Straight leg Jean Review

One of our favorite trends in jeans this Spring are the straight leg, boyfriend/girlfriend fit.  This style of jean can be called a few names but it’s the overall cropped, straight leg, loose style we are loving!  It’s a nice break from skinnies everyday and they look adorable with mules, flats, and sandals!
Today we thought it would be fun to try on a few different options for you and give a quick little review.  Watch our Instagram Stories today too to see our try-on review.  It’ll be saved to our highlights.  At the bottom of the post, we’re sharing our favorite place to find jeans lately!
Probably my favorite of the 4 I tried.  These are currently on sale for $44.  The short length on these is just right for me.  I will say that these do not have any natural stretch to them, which I am used to in my skinny jeans.  The more I wore them, the tad looser they got around the hips, especially for sitting!  I love the medium wash, which I think will work for Spring and Summer.

This pair is currently on sale, under $40.  It comes rolled, which is also super cute, but I like the unrolled better.  I am wearing the short length and these hit right at my ankle.  These are my normal size 26, but are a loose fit, not tight around my waist at all.

These are also on sale for only $44.  The leg on these is perfectly straight.  I am wearing my normal size 26, but they are tight around the waist.  Like ‘I could hardly get them buttoned’ tight.  These are also the short length, but the knee holes are not hitting at my knees.  They are below my knees, which I think looks a little off.  If you are taller than my 5’3″, they would probably work better.  I do like just the distressing at the knees.

These are pricier than the other 3, but oh so good, my second fav.  I do really like the mid-rise.  As much as I love a good high-rise, it can be hard to do a simple front tuck.  I also really like the light wash of these for Spring and Summer.  These have very little distressing, just a touch on one knee and one thigh.  I am wearing my normal size 26, but in petite.

These are my favorite that I tried.  They are currently on sale for $44!  What a price!  I’m wearing my normal size 25 in the short length and they fit perfectly.  I like that these are a comfortable mid-rise (I don’t always like a high-rise fit.)  I rolled them once for a slightly more crop look.  I’m contemplating cutting off just a touch at the bottom to give it that raw edge that doesn’t need to be rolled.  But it looks cute rolled once as well.
These are the most loose and wide-leg of the pants I tried on.  Definitely a great weekend pair of jeans.  These are currently on major sale for just $30!  I’m wearing my normal size 25 in the short length.  It can be hard to see in this picture, but these do have a sequin knee patch under the distressing.  You really hardly see it at all.  My first instinct was to remove it but I’ve worn them a few times and haven’t been bothered by it.
This is the most classic pair I tried on.  At $40 – it’s quite a steal!  I went up to a size 26.  The 25 fit (but were snug at the waist) and not quite the “looser” look I was going for.  The 26 is just right.  These also have a mid-rise which I personally like a lot.  I really like that these only have a slight bit of distressing.  I feel like I could “dress” these up a little and wear them to work.  I am 5’3″ and these were quite long on me.  I have one side rolled 3-4 times to create the length I like best.  Luckily a raw hem is in, so a simple cut and a little distressing and these will be great!

Our overall favorite jeans lately have been from Abercrombie.  Their jeans are affordable and they have so many styles and color washes.
