Synergy Face & Body – Answering all your questions about fillers + my results

Hello ladies!!
When I mentioned on Instagram stories that I was going to Synergy for a couple treatments and was happy to answer any questions you had…I got quite a few!!  So today I am answering them and sharing my before and after pics.
I’ll first start by introducing Synergy.
If you are in the Raleigh area, I highly recommend them.  They have 2 locations.  I have only been to the one in North Raleigh, and it’s so beautiful and relaxing.  Synergy offers a wide range of treatments…microneedling, coolsculpting, laser treatments, botox and fillers, spa treatments…all the way to plastic surgery. This was my first time doing both botox and filler, so yes, I was a tad nervous before my appointment.
So why the appointment in the first place?  I knew I wanted to get botox for the fine lines around my eyes and the deeper lines on my forehead.  Over the last couple years, I’ve also noticed a little less fullness in my cheeks.  Dang gravity and aging!!  So while in the treatment room we decided to do fillers in my cheek area, which would of course plump my cheeks back up but also lift the area on the sides of my mouth slightly (reversing the slight sag).   You can really see the results in the side view before/after pics below.

So, what exactly are fillers and what do they do?
Fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a substance found naturally on your skin.  Fillers are used to reverse volume loss in the face.  As we age, the skin starts to lose fullness and structure.  I specifically was losing fullness in my cheek area.
Where can you get fillers?
The most common areas are the cheeks (like with me) and lips.  But fillers can also be used on the nose and chin area.
Will it look natural?
This was my biggest concern.  You see celebs getting fillers and not looking natural anymore…and I didn’t want anything like that.  They say to look at the person giving you the treatment (because they’ve probably had it done).  Do they look natural?  If you are someplace you feel comfortable, chances are they have the same beliefs as you.  At Synergy I felt completely comfortable and love my technician!!
Also, the good thing about fillers, they can actually be reversed.  Unlike botox, which just has to wear off, fillers can be reversed if you don’t like the look or have a negative reaction (very unlikely).
How long does it last?
This depends on the area and how many treatments you’ve had, but fillers can last up to 2 years.  They do suggest you redo the fillers before they completely wear off to maintain results.
How much does it cost?

Does it hurt?
I didn’t get any numbing cream and was totally fine.  It didn’t “hurt” anymore than the botox did.  Let’s be real, it is a tiny needle going into your skin…so there is a tad discomfort.  But no real pain.

This pic really shows how the botox got rid of the fine lines around my eyes.  As well as how the cheek filler plumped my cheeks and slightly lifted the sagging around my mouth.

Again, this is a great angle to see how well the filler works.

This before pic is not a pretty one…but you get to see the wrinkles in my forehead and the flattening in my cheeks.

I hope this helps answer your filler questions.
Obviously I am not an expert, so if you have more specific questions, contact Synergy directly.

Thank you to Synergy for sponsoring today’s post.  As always, all opinions are my own.

You look wonderful! I just did the same, some tweaks for these puffy bags. I am over people that keep asking or TELLING me I look tired. I wanted to look like me again! Do what makes you happy!

Wow! Thanks for this great post. I am really impressed by your hair style. Extensions are looked like real hair if they used properly. For perfect hair design, real hair extensions are very popular. They are now available in online sites like WHITE LABEL EXTENSIONS.
